John Michael Byrd

John Michael Byrd is an alumnus of Louisiana State University with a BFA in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Art History. He is primarily a painting based artist, but also works in video, performance, installation, and traditional crafts. John Michael has been featured in numerous regional and national shows and competitions. Also, he has been awarded several grants and scholarships including the J. Kenneth Edmiston Memorial Scholarship and the Carl M. Thorp Memorial Art Scholarship.

John Michael currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his partner Christopher.
